ABOUT THE WOMEN'S CANNA AWARDS

Women in Cannabis: Empowering a New Era of Growth

At its core, the cannabis industry is about healingcreativity, and community. And as the industry continues to grow and evolve, it’s crucial that women have a seat at the table.

From entrepreneurs and researchers to activists and regulators, women are leading the way in shaping the future of cannabis. By empowering women in the cannabis industry, we’re not only creating more diverse and inclusive businesses and communities, but we’re also unlocking the full potential of this incredible plant. Whether it’s through mentorship, education, or advocacy, we’re committed to supporting women in cannabis and helping them thrive. Because when women succeed in cannabis, we all succeed.

Women’s Canna Awards is an event hosted annually by Aurora Society, a non-profit organization that honors the exemplary work women are doing in disruptive industries.

Mission

Our Group Mission

The Women’s Canna Awards is an annual event that celebrates exceptional women in the cannabis industry. We believe that women have a unique perspective and voice in the cannabis industry that needs to be recognized and celebrated. Our mission is to empower and uplift women in the industry, and to promote gender diversity and inclusivity across all aspects of the field.

Through the Women’s Canna Awards, we aim to provide a platform for women to be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and creativity in this fast-growing and global field. We honor women who are making a significant impact in the cannabis industry, shaping the future of the field with their groundbreaking work and innovative ideas.

We also recognize that women face unique challenges in the cannabis industry, such as the historical and ongoing marginalization of women in business and the lack of representation in leadership positions. As such, we are committed to promoting and amplifying the voices of women in the industry, and to creating a space where women can network, collaborate, and learn from each other.

We also believe in the importance of voting with our dollar and supporting women-owned and operated cannabis brands. By highlighting these brands and providing a platform for them to showcase their products and services, we hope to encourage consumers to consider the impact of their purchasing decisions and to promote gender diversity and inclusivity in the industry.

Overall, our goal is to be a positive force for change in the cannabis industry and to create a more equitable and inclusive space for women to thrive and succeed. To honor the exemplary work women are doing to build a global cannabis economy. We invite you to join us on this journey and to support the exceptional women who are shaping the future of the cannabis industry.

Honoring All Trailblazers

At the Women’s Canna Awards, we believe in empowering and celebrating women of all ages, races, and backgrounds in the cannabis industry. We recognize that the industry, like many others, has a long history of systemic discrimination, particularly against women and people of color. Our mission is to provide a platform for women to be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and creativity in this fast-growing and global field, while also raising awareness of the unique challenges faced by women and marginalized communities.

We honor age, race, and diversity, and strive to promote inclusion and equity in every aspect of the industry. Through our celebration of exceptional women in cannabis, we hope to inspire a more just and equitable future for all.

Cannabis legalization is not just about commerce. It's about social justice, equity, and repairing the harm caused by prohibition.
